Geneva Airport to Megève
Megève is about 75 km from Geneva Airport, roughly 1 h 09 by car with no traffic. There is no station in Megève, so the choice is a car to the door, a shared shuttle, or the train to Sallanches and a regional bus up the hill.

Ways to get there
- Private transfer or taxi
The driver goes to the address you give. A Geneva taxi on the meter comes to about CHF 291 before luggage (our estimate from the cantonal tariff). Transfer prices are on the prices page.
- Shared shuttle
Alpybus advertises shared transfers to Megève from 29.50 euros, with shared runs starting on 16 December, and says some parts of the valley use a meeting point rather than your door. Alps2Alps advertises from 32 euros per person. Both are starting prices on the operators' own sites.
- Train and bus
Megève has no railway station. The nearest is Sallanches-Combloux-Megève, 12 km away according to the tourist office. On a sample Saturday in October 2026 the 10:14 from the airport reached Sallanches at 12:09, with changes at Geneva Cornavin and Annemasse. From the station, regional bus line Y83 runs to Megève. Buy the bus ticket at Sallanches station before boarding; SAT Mont-Blanc says bank cards are not accepted on board.
- Coach
FlixBus lists Geneva Airport to Sallanches, about 55 minutes, with fares on flixbus.com and the stop on Rue Jeanne d'Arc. You still need the Y83 or a taxi for the last 12 km. See bus and shuttle.
The winter bus timetable is not out yet
The current Y83 timetable runs from 1 September to 18 December 2026. For the winter timetable, look it up on the regional transport site before you rely on it. Line Y82 also reaches Megève from Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet and Chamonix.
The ski season
Tourisme Haute-Savoie gives Megève's lifts as open from 19 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, with a partial opening from 4 to 6 December 2026. Nearby Combloux runs from 19 December 2026 to 21 March 2027. Saturdays in the French school holidays are the heaviest days on the road; for the return trip, see the way back.
