Geneva to Chamonix by bus
Two kinds of bus run from Geneva Airport to Chamonix. The FlixBus coach takes about 1 h 25 to Chamonix Sud, from about 19 euros (SAT Mont-Blanc's advertised fare). Shared shuttle minibuses take you to your address or close to it; advertised starting prices run from 19.50 to 45 euros per person.
The coach
The scheduled coach is sold by FlixBus and run with SAT Mont-Blanc and Borini. It leaves from the airport and stops in Chamonix Sud, the part of town around Avenue de Courmayeur, just south of the centre. It is one of the cheapest seats up the valley, and it runs to a fixed timetable.

Shared shuttles
A shared shuttle is a minibus that collects several passengers from the arrivals hall and drops them one by one in the valley. You book a seat, not the vehicle. A shuttle may wait for passengers on other flights, so the trip can take longer than 1 h 15 once you count the wait and the drops before yours. Some run only in the ski season (Alps2Alps states 16 December to 14 April).

Landing late
The last coach was shown at 20:35. Shuttle operators set their own last pick-ups. If your flight lands after about 20:00, confirm that a shuttle is running for your flight before you rely on it.
Bus or private car?
For one or two people a coach seat or a shuttle seat is almost always cheaper. The sums change at about four people, because a private transfer is priced per vehicle: at the 150 to 225 euros operators advertise, four people pay about 38 to 56 euros each, which overlaps the dearer shuttle starting prices (36 to 45 euros), with no waiting for other flights and no other drops.
